Jessica Simpson Hair Extensions: Yay or Nay?
By ceholmes
Have You Tried HairDo?
Jessica Simpson and Ken Paves met in the early 2000s on Simpson's hit show Newlyweds, were Paves, a renowned hair stylist, appeared on the show to talk hair care tips. As Paves popularity grew, both him and Simpson decided it would be a great idea to formualte their own hair care line aimed at addressing the hair styling needs of American consumers.
By 2006, together Paves and Simpson launched a line of clip-on hair extensions under the HairUWear company, called HairDo.
Jessica Simpson has without a doubt, successfully marketed HairDo as the clip-on hair extensions, as well as her signature wigs, have become widely sought after by women who desire longer, thicker and more voluptuousness, natural looking tresses.
As an African-American woman, I can't say that I've tried any of Simpson's clip-ons, which maybe in the future I should...but I am curious to know how her hair extensions measure up to other hair extension brands.
Many women have voiced their opinions through YouTube reviews, and many as I think are pretty in-depth.
A Quick Review
I want to open a discussion for the brand quality of Hairdo. If you tried it, what do you think?
A. The hair quality, synthetic and human hair and how long did the hair hold up, especially in exposure to the elements, hair sprays, and washing, ect...?
B. Cost. Is the cost worth it. Many reviewers feel that Hairdo is more expensive compared to other brands, which may or may not have the quality of the hair match up....?
C. Does the hair appear natural - which is really important when choosing a brand hair extentions. Does the hair feel soft, and not unnaturally shiny (like Barbie doll hair)
D. How easy is the application process? Are the clips durable and easy-to-apply and remove?
My Tips Before Buying
Believe it or not, the Simpson hair extensions can work out wonderfully for a lot of wearers. It's just about choosing the right hair texture, style, color and length for your particular look.
I would recommend that you continue to watch for reviews, expecially on Simpson's hair textures, since most reviewers say that the human hair hair extensions are higher in quality than synthetic hair extensions.
I also recommend to purchase a trial hair clip or extension through Amazon, as the prices are cheaper. That way if you are happy or dissatisfied with the product, you can rest assured that you didn't waste too much money on the hair.
Determine your face shape, to choose a style that suits your own, unique look. What may look good on a reviewer may not be as appealing on you, you may find, and this can hurt the overall outlook of the brand itself. See my article on Tiffani's Wigs and Beauty blog "Know Thy Face Shape" to help you determine which hair extension styles, cuts and colors work best for your face shape.
